Joint International Research Laboratory of
Carbon-based Functional Materials and Devices
Supported by the Ministry of Education
Joint International Research Laboratory of Carbon-based Functional Materials and Devices, based on nano-technology, takes carbon-based functional materials and devices as its research direction, and unites an internationally led research team:
Chinese side: Soochow University
International side: University of Waterloo, Western University, Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS), University of Toronto, and Trinity College Dublin
The laboratory was listed in Joint International Research Laboratory supported by the Ministry of Education on November 25, 2016. The laboratory is closely focused on the development needs of the national functional nanotechnology industry, promoting the integration of research in the field of interdisciplinary research, shortening the development cycle of nanotechnology, combining cutting-edge technology in the field of market demand, and involves four main research directions:
1. Carbon-based functional materials and devices in the synchrotron radiation interface characterization technology;
2. The application of carbon-based functional materials in organic white lighting technology;
3. The application of carbon-based functional materials in biomedical fields;
4. The application of carbon-based functional materials in energy and catalytic areas.
