In January 2024, Li joined the College of Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Soochow University and started his independent academic research. Li's research interests focus on the investigation of organic reaction mechanisms, late-stage functionalization of drug molecules, and fluorination reactions. He has published multiple papers as the sole first author in renowned journals such asNat. Synth.,J. Am. Chem. Soc.(5 papers),Angew. Chem., Int. Ed., and others. In 2020, he received the Excellent Ph.D. Thesis Award from Tsinghua University. He also won Chemical, Chemical Engineering, and Materials Chambroad Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, as well as being a Reaxys PhD Prize finalist (global 45 winners).
