报告摘要:

A novel chemical amplification system is proposed to update the ELISA biomarker test chemistry, which has stagnated for over 50 years but remains the main detection system worldwide for biomarkers. In the initial step of this amplification process, the protein-bound Pd(2+) is reduced to Pd(0) by an amine borane to give an active Pd(0) catalyst. High-gain (107-1010) catalytic redox amplification chemistry (a tetrazolium salt and amine borane) generates an assay dye signal. We review the primary current versions of ELISA, and then discuss expected limitations and opportunities for implementing generations 1, 2, and 3 of PdCCA, including using polymerized ionic liquid (PIL) nanobeads and PIL nanozymes with detection antibodies for amplification.
